Hi, my name is Julian and I do all sorts of art...
I always like to try different kinds of art, different artstyles and techniques!
I got a little stuck to pencil drawing, so you will see a lot of that here.
(Update: I will do lots of, if not mostly, digital drawing too, now that I've got myself some decent equipment for that )
But as said before: I do all sorts of art.
And here is a little bit of the story, that lead me to where I am right now with my art:
I haven't been drawing since I was able to. I still remember when I started out, and it was a lot of practice since then. And it still is, and I feel like currently I'm getting better by the week. I used to draw a lot of comics which (unfortunately) were not really good and I never took good care of my drawings. Most of my drawings on paper are scattered and lost everywhere in my house... As I got a good computer I quickly started to do all kinds of digital art, from animations, 3D modeling over image manipulation and when I got my drawing tablet also digital drawings. As you might see from my gallery, I always like to try different styles and techniques. I often just grab my pencil and draw whatever comes to my mind (but that often doesn't find it's way to this page). Drawing with pencils hit me big when I was in my last two years of school, and though I had not that much motivation sometimes, drawing made me forget everything around me and it still does sometimes. I did a lot of fanart (and sometimes I still do some. I still have the goal to draw all overwatch characters at least once, but currently they're releasing them faster then I portrait them... ). Everytime I finish something and I think it should not get lost somewhere, then I do a scan and upload it here on Deviantart. So this is what Deviantart has become for me... a platform to upload everything that I don't want to lose over the time and to share it. You might call it some kind of creative diary. And that way I can pull my stuff up whereever and whenever I want to, to look at it, to show it to people, and to know it's there, not lost in the abyss of meaningless paperstacks. Getting other people to notice my work is a welcome side effect which really motivates me, because everytime I notice someone likes something I made, it gives me the feeling that I am not wasting my time (But to be honest, in the last few month (writing this in august 2020) I got over a lot of my self hate and can appreciate what I'm doing a lot more than I used to. I think this is mainly because I have been putting a lot of time into it lately and therefore improving a lot.) I also have noticed that the community here is very nice and humble. And I am very thankful for that! Deviantart and the great people here will hopefully always be small part of my hobby.
Apart from all that I just appreciate a positive attitude and a peaceful mindset.
I'm an optimist and always think that tomorrow will be a good day.
So, you have a great day or night too, everyone!
Cheeeeeeerio!
